Our first Tesla Powerwall 3 installation in Hampshire;

Our client, the owner of a beautiful yet aging property in Hampshire, wanted to become more energy efficient and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of their home. However, integrating renewable energy into an older building presents unique challenges. Integrating renewable energy into older buildings can sometimes pose challenges, so we explored multiple options with the client, including ground-mount solar, but various shading factors and aesthetics had to be considered.

After careful evaluation, we determined that the best approach was to install sleek, all-black solar panels that would seamlessly blend with the property’s slate roof. This ensured not only optimal energy generation but also an aesthetically pleasing integration with the home’s traditional architecture.

We installed 27 high-efficiency 455W all-black panels across both the southeast and southwest-facing roofs. This 12.29kWp system now generates an impressive 13,000kWh per year, equating to nearly £4,000 in annual electricity savings. Thanks to this investment, the system is projected to fully offset its initial cost within just six years, and by year 20, the accumulated savings are estimated to reach £86,659.86.

As Certified Premium Tesla Installers, we were proud to include a Tesla Powerwall 3 as part of this installation. This was our first Powerwall 3 install, making us one of the first in the country to deploy Tesla’s latest energy storage technology! Nestled among a picturesque grapevine, the 13.5kW battery enables the client to store excess solar energy, maximising self-consumption and further reducing reliance on the grid.

Results:

27 sleek all-black panels complementing the traditional slate roof

12.29kWp system generating an average of 13,000kWh annually

£4,000 per year in savings, with a full return on investment in just six years

Projected savings of £86,659.86 over 20 years

This project perfectly showcases how solar technology can be seamlessly integrated into older properties without compromising aesthetics. The result? A future-proof, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable energy solution that will benefit the homeowner for decades to come.
