Continuing the theme of sustainability, Empower were appointed to provide Deceuninck’s solar solution to drive energy savings across its UK head office and production plant in Calne.
As principal contractors, our effort resulted in the installation of an impressive 2,200 Jinko panels, with a combined capacity of 1034kW. This substantial solar infrastructure has proven to be a game-changer for Deceuninck, delivering multiple benefits that go beyond just renewable energy production. First and foremost, the solar systems have proven highly effective in generating a total of 895,762 kWh of clean energy. This renewable power not only reduces Deceuninck’s reliance on conventional energy sources but also contributes significantly to mitigating the environmental impact of their operations.
One of the most notable achievements of this initiative is the substantial reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Thanks to the solar installations, Deceuninck has been able to slash its annual CO2 emissions by an impressive 498,507 kilograms. This substantial reduction underscores Deceuninck’s commitment to sustainability and its role in combating climate change!
