Falcon Retail, the preeminent fuel station chain in the United Kingdom, has
taken substantial strides towards bolstering its commitment to sustainability and
operational efficiency through a strategic collaboration with Empower Energy.
This groundbreaking partnership has seen the integration of cutting-edge
solar energy solutions across multiple key locations, solidifying Falcon Retail’s
dedication to environmentally conscious practices.
Among the notable sites that have undergone this transformative change are
Falcon Retail service stations Gillingham, Wembdon, Frome, North Bradley,
and Osprey Quay. By embracing solar energy solutions at these prominent
locations, Falcon Retail aims not only to reduce its carbon footprint but also
to contribute significantly to the broader movement towards cleaner and more
sustainable energy sources.
As principal contractors, our effort resulted in the installation of an impressive
1,324 Jinko panels, with a combined capacity of 556kW. This substantial solar
infrastructure has proven to be a game-changer for Falcon Retail, delivering
multiple benefits that go beyond just renewable energy production.
First and foremost, the solar systems have proven highly effective in generating
a total of 562,212 kWh of clean energy. This renewable power not only reduces
Falcon Retail’s reliance on conventional energy sources but also contributes
significantly to mitigating the environmental impact of their operations.
One of the most notable achievements of this initiative is the substantial
reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Thanks to the solar installations,
Falcon Retail has been able to slash its annual CO2 emissions by an impressive
386,431 kilograms. This substantial reduction underscores Falcon Retail’s
commitment to sustainability and its role in combating climate change!
